The Talibung — Visayan Tradition with Classical Influence

Rooted in the proud Visayan blade tradition, this Talibung represents a refined evolution of a classic Filipino sword. While unmistakably Filipino in form, its elegant curvature and flowing profile reflect subtle Greek sword influence, resulting in a blade that balances power, speed, and control.

Hand-forged from high-carbon steel, the Talibung features a gracefully curved blade designed for fluid movement and precise cutting. The inclusion of blood grooves (fullers) reduces weight while maintaining structural strength, enhancing balance and responsiveness in hand. This design allows the blade to move quickly and naturally through strikes, making it well suited for training, demonstrations, and cultural practice.

The hardwood handle is hand-carved and shaped for comfort and stability, providing a secure grip and confident handling. The extended handle-to-pommel length adds leverage and control, while the matching hardwood scabbard is reinforced with a traditional cord wrap, reflecting long-standing Filipino construction methods.

Each Talibung is individually hand-forged in the Southern Philippines, ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike.

Experience the heritage. Own the Talibung.

Proudly made in the Southern Philippines.
