Traditionally forged for training
We forge these trainers at the Trigonal Gear shop in the Southern Philippines using many of the same traditional processes used for Filipino live blades. Each trainer is intentionally left unsharpened and made specifically for technical training.
Why stainless steel
Forged steel provides realistic weight and balance for studying blade movement. Stainless construction is highly resistant to rust and corrosion and easier to maintain than traditional carbon steel. Stainless steel can still corrode: wipe it clean and dry after use, and keep the wood dry.
